Lets start with Matla ,Maqta, Kafiya and Radeef
4 basics of ghazal
1)Matla: First 2 lines of the ghazal are called matla (Red coloured)
2)Maqta: last 2 lines are called maqta, with writers name in it.(Green coloured)
3)"Lage hain"...in the above ghazal is radeef ( Blue coloured).
Radeef should be there in the end of first 2 lines as well as all the second lines of all ashaar...
4)Rijhane, samaane, sataane etc are all kafiye..(Maroon coloured)..
Kafiye should be there in the first 2 lines of ghazal as well as ,second line of all ashaar, just before radeef...
Now try to write your ghazal..
