barbaad-e-tamannā pe itaab aur ziyāda
haañ merī mohabbat kā javāb aur ziyāda

roeN na abhī ahl-e-nazar haal pe mere
hona hai abhī mujh ko ḳharaab aur ziyāda

āavaāra o majnuN hī pe mauqūf nahīñ kuchh
milne haiñ abhī mujh ko ḳhitāb aur ziyāda

uTTheñge abhī aur bhī tūufaaN mire dil se
dekhūuñgā abhī ishq ke ḳhvaāb aur ziyāda

Tapkegā lahū aur mire dīda-e-tar se
dhaḌkegā dil-e-ḳhāna-ḳharāb aur ziyāda

hogī mirī bātoñ se unheñ aur bhī hairat
aaegaā unheñ mujh se hijaāb aur ziyāda

use mutrib-e-bebāk koī aur bhī naġhma
ai sāaqi-e-fayyāz sharāb aur ziyāda
