Forgotten days….0211**

In far off old forgotten days.
On the trail of ponderous ways.
Took to bed and flew away.
A journey vivid to this day.
Through the heavens from a den.
million waves, deserts, glen.
No ties to want a flapping wing.
Nothing to hold; no bond or string.
Muted charm of a rustic square.
removed from the din of urban flair.
Asleep in bed and yet on hover.
Flew the gamut without a clover.
In island home a fairy stepped.
Fate had shown and promise kept.
She too sat on outcrops watched,
for recompense, that fate had botched.
Lingering dusks and early dawns.
Brought wandering gulls and crashed anon.
Hedged her bets on a distant clown.
Wandering clue less, way off town.
Ages lost in pent up tears.
Wishing to while away her fears.
