Ashk (tear)

I wrote this poem when "Versha", my better half once asked me why I picked "ASHK" as my Takhallus. I realized that this small droplet of water expresses so many human emotions and have tried to collect as many of them in this collection of shayers with each misra ending in ASHK. Hope you like them.

massarat aur kabhi gum se ravaaN hotaa hai ashk
bheegi palkoN ke sai meiN javaaN hotaa hai ashk

toote rishtoN ke dhaagoN se bunaa hotaa hai ashk
moti aakhoN ka matti meiN fannah hotaa hai ashk

her khamosh zubaaN ka gavaah hotaa hai ashk
her maayoos insaaN ki panaah hotaa hai ashk

bevafaa se vafaa meiN mila silaa hotaa hai ashk
mehboob ke dil meiN chupaa gilaa hotaa hai ashk

sulagti hui tamanna ka dhuaaN hotaa hai ashk
gunaah ki raNjish ka nishaaN hotaa hai ashk

yeh bhi ajab kaisa janooN hotaa hai ashk
rulaata hai or dil ko skooN hotaa hai ashk

Glossary:

massarat- happiness, ravaaN- flow,fannah-dies, silaa-result
ranjish- repentence, janooN- intense feeling, sakooN-peace

Loved the rythm as I started reading, wonderful .... Each misra was powered with sense and experience of life

But the last is not as powerful as it was supposed to be. The last one is the crux in most ghazal but here, top ones were lovely.

Thanks for your commendations. We can call this a collection(Guldasta) of shayers as even though they are put together in the form of ghazal, their Qaafia is same but not the Radif. Also I understand your comments on the last shayer. It was an oversight on my part. Of the two "ashk" one in first line means tear while 2nd is for my poet name.
