Stranger

Passing through a narrow gorge

though all alone by myself

I feel company of a stranger,

I yearn to whisper something

but find no way

suddenly a dark cloud of fear covers me

and I see him far, too far away

the ground where I stand moves

but my mind is so still

that I cannot even pray

I'm not too sure what I long for

for I've always been in dismay

The cloud that I see in the blue sky

I know that's not for me

I wish I had wings, could touch and see

What ever my heart asks for

my mind questions why

though I've a thousand words

but not a single one to say

Sometimes you force your soul

too hard, too hard to obey

fear of heights, am afraid to make my way

can't risk looking like a bird of prey

I'm full of passion can go down on my knee

but all I can get just a glimpse of him

for only that is my destiny.
