adhuuraa chaa.Nd bhii kitanaa udaas lagataa hai

ye vasl kaa lamhaa hai ise raayegaa.N na samajh
ke is ke baad vahii duuriyo.n kaa saharaa hai

[vasl = union; lamhaa = moment; raayegaa.N = useless/futile]
[saharaa = desert]

kuchh aur der na jha.Dataa udaasiyo.n kaa shajar
kise Khabar tere saaye me.n kaun baiThaa hai

[shajar = tree]

ye rakh-rakhaao muhabbat sikhaa ga_ii us ko
vo ruuTh kar bhii mujhe muskuraa ke milataa hai

[rakh-rakhaao = formality/to maintain a facade]

mai.n kis tarah tujhe dekhuu.N nazar jhijhakatii hai
