dil ki kya himAyat karU’n andar jab bArAn hai
saherA me sarAb dekh ke tU kyun k’hush hua
hawA chalI hai ab dekh sirf reyg-e-rawAn hai
asIro’n se kehdo ki Kaif-e-nijAt be’tAsIr hai
ye to g’ham-e-yaar ke anjAm ka AstAn hai
aisA nahi’n ki duniyA me tera wajud nahi’n
phirtA hU’n liye tasvIr terI gUmrAh jaHAn hai
shikAyat nahi’n phir kyun AyA iS baz’m me
murshid nahi’n “Safeer” hU’n yehi pehchAn hai
