My Best Friend

You are one of the best friends I could hope to get,
For you to be that good a friend, it seems I should owe you a debt.
Your friendship I will never waste,
Because nobody could take your place.

The way you laugh,
The way you smile,
Makes all things better,
And everything worthwhile.

No matter how hard things get,
You'll always have somewhere soft to fall,
I'll be here if you need me and I hope you don't forget,
I'll be your friend through it all.

Our friendship will stay true,
I will be here to stay,
I'll be here for you,
For forever and a day.

Yes, it's true we've had a fight,
But in the end we became more tight,
Because we knew at the end of the tunnel there was a light,
And that is just an example of our friendship's might.

Along with physical handsome, you have a great mind.
On top of that, you are so very kind.
Like the threads of a shirt, we've been woven,
The bond of our friendship will not be broken.
