Meri ye jaan tau ab kisi aur ki amanat hai ,
Ise sambhal ke rakhna meri zaroorat hai.

Mujhe dekh kar muNh pherna unki fitrat hai ,
unki isi ada pe humko unse mohabbat hai.

Dekh leta hun jab unhe aa jaye dil ko sakoon,
Mere dil ki her dharkan mein unki shirkat hai.

Vo kehte haiN mere chehre se unko nafrat hai,
Unhe bas apna banane ki dil mein hasrat hai.

Na jane kyun anan fanan meiN rooth jate haiN ,
khuda kaaam unka roothna bhi ek quamat hai.
