_ _ _ _ _ _ And we settled in our new desks and benches.

_ _ _ _ _ _ When we queued up in book depot,
_ _ _ _ _ _ And got our new books and notes.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ When we wanted two Sundays and no Mondays, yet
_ _ _ _ _ _ Managed to line up daily for the morning prayers.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ When we chased one another in the corridors in____________
__________ Intervals,And returned to the classrooms_
_____________ drenched_ _in sweat.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors,
___________ Playgrounds, under the trees and even
___________ in_cycle_sheds.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ When a single P.T. period in the week's Time
___ ___ ___ Table, Was awaited more eagerly than the monsoons.
_ _ _ _ _ _

_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ Of fights but no conspiracies,
_ _ _ _ _ _ Of Competitions but seldom jealousy.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ When we used to watch Live Cricket telecast,
_ _ _ _ _ _ In the opposite house in Intervals and Lunch
____________breaks.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ When few rushed at 5:30 to
_ _ _ _ _ _ "Conquer" window seats in our School bus.

_ _ _ _ _ _ Of Sports Day, and the annual School Day,
_ _ _ _ _ _ And the one-month long preparations for them.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ Of the stressful Quarterly, Half Yearly and Annual
____________Exams,And the most enjoyed holidays after them.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ We learnt, we enjoyed, we played, we won, we lost,
___ ___ ___ We laughed,we cried,we fought, we thought.

_ _ _ _ _ _ With so much fun in them, so many friends,
_ _ _ _ _ _ So much experience, all this and more.


_ _ _ _ _ _ Gone are the days
_ _ _ _ _ _ But not the memories, which will be
_ _ _ _ _ _ Lingering in our hearts for ever and ever and
_ _ _ _ _ _ Ever and ever and Ever.
