Hamne jo nibhayi tamaam umr aashiqi hai !
Aur tumne yahi samjha ke sirf bandagi hai ??

Jeene ka taqaaza tha ke maut hai jaroori !
Har saans me ghutan hai,kaisi ye zindagi hai ??

Hain bekhbar ki baaten har saans ki jawaani !
Nakaam hai mohobbat kaisi ye bebasi hai ??

Saaqi ke naam kar di hamne tamaam raaten !
Jab dil-talak na utare,phir kaisi maikashi hai ??

Ek daur tha hamara Abba huzoor wala !
Ab haath me hai qasa Allah ki marzi hai !!

Bahut gumraah karna chahta hai aaina mujhko !
Magar wo apni hi fitrat se hardam haar jaata hai !! (Pankaj Mishra 'Nawaab')
