hijr ki pehli shaam ke saaye door ufaQ tak chaaye the
hum jab us ke shehar se nikley sab rastay saath laaye the

janay woH kya soch raha tha apne dil meiN saari raat
pyar ki baateN karte karte us ke naiN bhar aaye the

mere andar chali thi andhi theek ussi din patjhar ki
jis din apne juuday meiN us ne kuch phool sajaaye the

us ne kitne pyar se apna kufr diya nazraane meiN
hum apne iman ka sauda jis se karne aaye the

kese jaati mere badan se beete lamhoN ki khushbo
khwaboon ki us basti meiN kuch phool mere hum-saaye the

kesa pyara manzar tha jab dekh ke apne sathi ko
paid pe baithi ik chiriya ne apne par phelaaye the

rukhsat ke din bheegi aankhoN us ka woH kehna haaye "Qateel"
tum ko laut hi jana tha toH iss nagri meiN kyun aaye the
