ਜੱਨਤ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਸੋਹਣੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ "ਪਿੰਡ" ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ,
ਗਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡ ਕੇ ਕੁੱਝ ਰੀਝਾਂ ਪਲੀਆਂ,
ਹਾਣੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਾਣ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਜਾਨੀ,
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬਚਪਨ ਬੀਤਿਆ ਤੇ ਚੜੀ ਜਵਾਨੀ,
ਬਚਪਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਬੀਤਿਆ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੰਵੇਂ ਭੁਲਾਵਾਂ,
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ "ਪਿੰਡ" ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ,
ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਰਗਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ "ਪਿੰਡ" ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਵਾਂ. . . .



ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖੀ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਰੱਜ ਕੇ,ਕੁਝ ਰਖਿਆ ਨਈਂ ਵਲੈਤਾਂ ਚ,
ਨਾਂ ਸਵਾਦ ਹੈ ੳਥੇ ਹੱਸਣ ਦਾ,ਨਾਂ ਸਵਾਦ ਹੈ ੳਥੇ ਰੋਣ ਦਾ,

ਲੱਖ ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਕਰਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਕਿ,ਮੈਂਨੁੰ ਮਾਣ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ,

Agar dass sako ki es geet kithoN mil sakdaa hai taaN badaa ehsaan hovega. It's beautiful. GUrdaas maan ji nu punjab da maan aiveN hi nahi kenhdey.
