Zindgi meri kis mukam pe aayi he
mehki mehki yaden zehan pe chai he

dundta hun khud ko kesi tanhai he
yadon ki sogaat sham kaha se layi he

sahe kese aab raat ke is sune pan ko
daro-diwar ne tumko aawaz lagai he

bikhar Si gayi he Zindgi tere bager
Har sans ab khinch khinchkar AYI he

lota do in zulfon ki ghani chanw mujhe
wo sham Jo tere pehlu me bitayi he

satane ki Har koshish kar ke dekh lo
Tere intzar me aaj bhi shama jalayi he

dekh kar aaftab ko kuch itminan hua
kya tune chand se phir nazar milayi he

ab kon samjhaye SHAKIR Ko zid chod de
usne mohabbat ke badle dolat kamai he
