dil ke suune shahar me.n guu.Njegaa naGmaa chaah kaa

raat ke parde me.n chhup kar Khuu.N rulaatii chaahato
is qadar kyo.n duur ho
mujh se zaraa ye to kaho
mere paas aakar kabhii merii kahaanii bhii suno
siskiyaa.N letii havaaye.n kah rahiihai.n - 'chup raho'

ye dhokha bhi kha ke dekho.

Doori mein kya bhedd chhupa hai,
iss ki khoj laga ke dekho.

Kisi akeli shaam ki chup mein,
geet puraane gaa ke dekho.

Aaj ki raat bahut kaali hai,
soch ke deep jala ke dekho.

Dil ka ghar sunsaan pada hai,
dukh ki dhoom macha ke dekho.

Jaag jaag kar umar kaati hai,
neend ke dwaare jaa ke dekho. !!

Saaye ghaTte jaate hain,
jungle kaTte jaate hain.

Koi sakht wazeefa hai,
jo hum raTte jaate hain

Sooraj ke aasaar hain dekho,
baadal chhaTte jaate hain.

Aas paas ke saare manzar,
peechhe haTte jaate hain.

Dekho ‘munir bahaar mein gulshan,
rang se aTte jaate hain. !!

Makaan mein qaid-e-sadaa ki dahshat,
makaan se baahar khalaa ki dahshat.

Hawa hai khauf-e-khuda se khaali,
hai iss nagar mein balaa ki dahshat.

Ghira hua hun main har taraf se,
hai aaine mein hawaa ki dahshat.

Zameen pe har simt had-e-aakhir,
falak pe la-intiha ki dahshat.

Shajar ke saaye mein maut dekho,
samar mein uss ke fanaa ki dahshat. !!

Chaar soo baajen palon ki paayalen,
iss tarah raqqaasa-e-aalam chale.

Der kya hai aane waale mausamo,
din guzarte jaa rahe hain hum chale.

Kis ko fikar-e-gumbad-e-qasr-habaab
aabjoo paiham chale paiham chale. !!
