बन के बाग़-ऐ-बाहार आ जाता

जीने को बहाना नया नज़र आता

नींद भी अब बेहया सी रहती है

Kaash woh dil mein yaar aa jaata
ban ke baag-e-bahaar aa jaata

jeene ko bahaana naya nazar aata
gar woh khwaabon mein yaar aa jaata

neend bhi ab behaya si rehti hai
raat mein bunte hai hum yeh afsaana

faasla munasib sa to raha hota
kar ke solah shringhar aa jaata

chahat mein sabr ka koi kaam nahi
mere kehne par to yaar aa jaata
