Ghazlon me siyasat hoti agar shayad meri ho jati !
Har sher fasana tha dil ka khwabon se bagawat ho jati !!

Ashqo ki gawaahi kagaz par kuch shkl bana si leti hai !
Tum padh leti aye janewafa tumhe khud se shikayat ho jati !!

Aankhon ka sailaab kayi rasmon ko nibhakar baitha hai !
Dariya hai koi ye jaam nahi ke jispe hukumat ho jati !!

Ye shaher bahut mashoor sahi veeran pada hai barso se !
Cham cham paayal tum chankati ..aati to qayamat ho jati !!

Badnaam hoon main har simt jahan galiyon me tumhare charche hain !
Milti jo kahin ek baar sahi to zor-e-sharafat ho jaati !!

Ab kaun hai kiska diwana kiske dil me hai aag lagi !
Sab chod ke jo milti aankhen tujhe mujhse mohobbat ho jati !!

Ye khwab nahi to phir kya hai ke tumko tumhi se mangta hoon !
Aur tum ho ke kuch kehti hi nahi kehti to ibaadat ho jati !!


Bahut gumraah karna chahta hai aaina mujhko !
Magar wo apni hi fitrat se hardam haar jaata hai !! (Pankaj Mishra 'Nawaab')

Ab kaun hai kiska diwana kiske dil me hai aag lagi !
