Ungliyan tham ke khud chalna shikhaya tha jise,
rah main chhoDh gaya rah pe laya tha jise

usne ponche hi nahin ashk meri ankhon se
maine khud ro ke bahut der hasaya tha jise.

bus usi din se khafa hai mera vo ek chehra
doop main aina ek roj dikhaya tha jise

choo ke hontho ko mere vo bhi kahin door gayi
ek gazal shauk se jise gaya tha maine

de gaya ghav vo aise ki bharte hi nahin
apne seene se kabhi maine lagaya tha jise

hosh aya to hua yah ki mera ek dushman
yaad phir ane laga ki maine bhulaya tha jise

vo bada kya hua sir par hi chad jata hai
apne kandhe pe "kunwar" has ke bithaya tha jise.

Kaun kahta hai ki aasman main soorakh nahin ho sakta
Ek patthar to tabiyat se uchhalo yaron.
