A Drop of Rain!!!

High above,
Midst the clear blue skies,
Was moving a grey little cloud,
Silent slow as still...

It carried a pool of water,
Ready to tumble down,
Yet the cloud held it tight,
As a mother would hold her child...

Then all of a sudden,
Like a chick leaves its nest,
A drop from the cloud,
Drops right from the sky...

As it landed,
Right on my face,
A felt a chilling thrill,
On a hot sunny day...

I was thankful,
To the cloud,
Which dropped the little droplet,
On my face,
For so cool it was,
And refreshing too,
A drop of rain,
From the sky...
