Sagar Kinare main aaj bhi lehren ginta hun,
Gumsum sa kinare se lehron ke takrane ki awaz sunta hu,

Fark sirf itna hain ki kal tak tum mere saath thi,
aur aaj mein akela hi yadon ko chun chun ke ginta hun,

Kal tak samundar mein har jagah tera aks nazar aata tha,
Aaj kinare baitha main apne hi aks dhoondata hun,

Pata nahin sagar kinare aate aate din mahine saal guzar gaye,
Per na jaane kyon aaj bhi wahin tere kadmon ki aahat sunta hun,

Tun is wakat kis haal mein hogi Hamdam maluum nahin,
Phir bhi na jane kyun ab tak sagar kinare main tera intazaar karta hun.
