mohra ho ek tum to iis shatranj ke khel me.n
pyaade se baDh ke kya ho iis shatranj ke khel me.n

haathi kii u.nT aur ye ghoDe kii chaal me.n
tum par hai kya tavajjo iis shatranj ke khel me.n

chaukor* saamne hi hai chausanTH karoge kab
sar aakhri makaam ko iis shatranj ke khel me.n

tum ko sambhal ke chalna hai dekho vaziir se
mehfuuz baadshah ho iis shatranj ke khel me.n

laDte ye zindagii me.n kiye qatl kitne tum
jiine ke vaaste jo iis shatranj ke khel me.n

jab aakhri ho chaal Safir tum bhii dekhna
marte ho yaa bache ho iis shatranj ke khel me.n

मोहरा हो एक तुम तो इस शतरंज के खेल में
प्यादे से बढ़ के क्या हो इस शतरंज के खेल में

हाथी की ऊंट और ये घोड़े की चाल में
तुम पर हो क्या तवज्जो इस शतरंज के खेल में

चौकोर* सामने ही है चौसंठ करोगे कब
सर आखरी मकाम को इस शतरंज के खेल में

तुम को संभल के चलना है देखो वज़ीर से
मेहफ़ूज़ बादशाह हो इस शतरंज के खेल में

लड़ते ये ज़िंदगी में किये क़त्ल कितने तुम
जीने के वास्ते जो इस शतरंज के खेल में

अब आखरी है चाल सफ़ीर तुम भी देखना
मरते हो या बचे हो इस शतरंज के खेल में

ख़ुदा परेशां तेरी बला से तेरे सितम से तेरे अधम से
अगर हसीँ होते ज़ुल्म तेरे तू भी तो कुछ शर्मसार होता

shatranj ki baat karte hi ek ajeeb si feeling aayi.

ye khel mere pasandida khelon mein se ek raha hai.

achi bayaangi hai dil ki haalat ki shatranj ke sahaare.

bohut khoob

Sarikaji, hum bhii kuchh hadd tak achchha khel lete haiN satranj, vaise apni zindagii bhii ek shtranj ke khel jaisi hi hai. jo sahi chaal khel gayaa vo jiit gayaa aur jisne galat chaal kheli vo checkmate
